Hi! I’m Wahyu Ginting, a translator and interpreter by profession – and a linguist by passion.
After more than a decade of working in this profession, I finally picked my area of specialization: the financial services industry. At the beginning of 2020, amid the pandemic, I joined a formal education program to obtain the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. August the same year, I passed the certification exam and am registered as a CFP in the Financial Planning Standard Board (FPSB) of Indonesia.
While being a CFP is my unique selling proposition for end clients and agencies, my 10-year experience working with major insurance companies and a deep understanding of the Indonesian financial services environment is the way I can add value when it comes to localizing content within this specific field.
I’m a qualifying member of the Association of Indonesian Translators (HPI), got certified by the HPI as a legal translator for EN-ID language pair, and right now serve as the Vice President of the association. I’m also a Certified PRO member in ProZ.com.
In 2009 I co-founded a translation agency, Translexi, and until now I’m actively involved in the company as its Director of Quality.
